Five thousand kilometres of savannah, bush and jungle, wild animals, strange cultures – Esther and Horst are having the adventure of their life. Stolen horses, stranded without a drop of water, narrowly escaping death by stoning by 500 savage natives; these are just a few of the experiences on their 12-month expedition from South Africa to Kenya. American newspapers will later call it „The Ride of the Century“, though it is also a journey back to the origins of mankind, an escape from the “overkill“ and alienation of modern life, back to a more genuine, basic and profound existence.
